We are glad that you are interested in joining our Volunteer Fire Department!Any person is eligible to apply for membership provided that he or she is at least sixteen years of age.Previous firefighting experience is NOT required to apply, but we also encourage and welcome those with previous experience to join.

There are three types of membership:

Active Members: Active membership is for those applicants who are interested in becoming afirefighter and/or EMT (急救医疗医生) and participating in fire/rescue activities. All applicants over theage of eighteen are eligible for active membership. All active members in the department are required to attend fifty percent of scheduled department meetings and training each calendar year.

Student Members: Applicants who are sixteen years of age or older and are currently enrolled inhigh school are eligible to become student members.

Associate Members: The department also accepts applications for associate members. Associatemembers are those who are interested in assisting the department with fundraising (筹款 ) and specialevents. Associate members do not participate in firefighting and rescue activities, nor will they be requiredto receive any fire training.
